As someone who manages multiple sites, I have been looking for a solution to make it easier. Since my host, Pressable, offers Jetpack services, I had originally looked at Jetpack as the complete solution, but the included services are starting to dwindle, so an alternative was needed. Enter MainWP.
Pressable + MainWP
MainWP announced they had created an extension for Pressable that lets me manage my Pressable functions within the MainWP dashboard. Creating and deleting sites, managing backups, and more are now all in one place.
What is MainWP
MainWP is an innovative WordPress management suite that provides an all-in-one platform. MainWP empowers administrators to manage multiple WordPress sites from one central location effortlessly. MainWP’s capability to centralize control is a win for WordPress administrators managing multiple websites. Traditionally, one needed to log in to each website for updates, content management, or even routine backups. This could consume a significant amount of time, particularly when dealing with numerous sites. MainWP enables a single dashboard setup from which all websites can be managed simultaneously. Administrators can thus save valuable time, which can be redirected to other crucial tasks.

Your Dashboard on Your Site
Unlike similar services, one of the key features that drew me to it was the fact that the Dashboard lives on a site you own and manage. Some may argue that this is a disadvantage because they don’t trust their environment enough for it to remain stable. With Pressable as my host, that is not a concern.
Task Automation
MainWP excels in its capacity for automation. Performing updates for themes, plugins, or the WordPress core across various websites is an essential yet time-consuming task. MainWP offers an easy solution: automated updates. With just a few clicks, administrators can schedule updates across all their sites, reducing the possibility of human error and ensuring timely implementation. This automation also extends to backups, with MainWP’s capacity to automate backup schedules and offsite storage, significantly bolstering the security of your sites.
It Won’t Break the Bank
The cost-effectiveness of MainWP stands out. First, many services are included in the free version, and the Pro version, which only offers unlimited site support, offers a fairly reasonable $29 month-to-month subscription, a much less expensive annual subscription — $17 per month — as well as a lifetime unlimited offering for $499. There are coupons available to lower your initial entry cost even more.
Scalability
Another significant advantage of MainWP is its outstanding scalability. As businesses grow, the number of their sites typically increases. MainWP easily scales up to accommodate any number of sites, ensuring a smooth transition and providing efficient management without any significant performance degradation.
MainWP’s rich ecosystem of extensions enhances its functionality. From SEO management to client reporting, the availability of various extensions allows site administrators to tailor their MainWP dashboard to their specific needs. Most importantly, these extensions integrate seamlessly with MainWP, ensuring a consistent user experience.
MainWP offers a holistic solution for managing multiple WordPress sites. Its robust features like centralized control, automation, cost-effectiveness, security, scalability, and a rich ecosystem of extensions not only streamline the management process but also enhance overall productivity. With MainWP, managing multiple WordPress sites is no longer a daunting task but an achievable, efficient process. So if you’re a site administrator seeking a powerful, versatile tool to simplify your website management, MainWP is a formidable choice.
